Fees and funding

Fees, Funding and Rebates

There are several funding pathways and rebates that can help with the cost of speech pathology, including NDIS funding, Medicare, TAC and private health insurance. Here is an overview of each option, and we are always happy to talk them through with you.

Funding pathways

Ways to fund your sessions

The funding options below may help cover speech pathology assessment and therapy. If you are unsure which applies to you, contact us and we will point you in the right direction.

National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS)

At Speak With Us we currently accept NDIS clients who are self-managed or plan-managed. We can also support you in applying and planning for the NDIS.

Medicare - Chronic Disease Management Plan (CDM Plan)

Medicare provides a rebate for five allied health sessions per calendar year, for those with ongoing health conditions. These services may be provided by one type of health professional or a combination of different types, such as Psychology and Occupational Therapy. Please contact your General Practitioner to determine if you are eligible.

Transport Accident Commission (TAC)

The Transport Accident Commission (TAC) provides funding for allied health services to individuals injured in road accidents. A large number of our clients receive funding through the TAC, and we collaborate closely with support coordinators and the client's therapy team to deliver essential services that aid in their recovery.

Private Health Insurance

You can claim for speech pathology assessment and therapy sessions under private health extras cover. Rebates for speech pathology services are dependent on your level of coverage. You can determine your eligibility for rebates with your private health fund provider. Contact us for more information.
